Angelina Jolie Looked Stressed on Solo Outing a Month Before Divorce Filing

Angelina Jolie Looked Stressed on Solo Outing a Month Before Divorce Filing

After 12 years and six kids together, Angelina Jolie files for divorce from Brad Pitt just after their two-year wedding anniversary.
In one of her last public sightings in L.A. before she filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie stepped out solo and stocked up on children's toys.

An onlooker saw the star at Go! Calendars, Games & Toys at the Beverly Center mall in Los Angeles in August, and said the mother of six tried to go into the store unnoticed.

"She looked very thin and very tired," the source tells PEOPLE. "She kept her sunglasses on and kept biting her lip like something was bothering her."

It appears Jolie was at the store to buy things for her six children.

"She filled a shopping basket with toys for both boys and girls," the source says. "She was very quiet and only said 'Thank you' after she paid."

Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from Pitt, 52, in a Los Angeles court Monday, stating that she separated from the Allied star on Sept. 15 – just one day after the couple and son Maddox, 15, were involved in an alleged altercation aboard their private plane.

The actress requested sole custody of their six children: Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Pitt is accused of being "verbally abusive" and getting "physical" with Maddox during a fight with Jolie that "escalated more than it should have," a source with knowledge of the situation previously told PEOPLE.

The source said that Pitt did not hit Maddox, but "made contact" with him "in the shoulder area." The source says there was no sign of physical injury on Maddox.

An investigation into the alleged incident has been launched by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services after it was reported anonymously. The case was also referred to the FBI under special aircraft jurisdiction since the incident occurred mid-flight, though the FBI is unlikely to launch a further investigation, a Pitt source told PEOPLE on Saturday.

The Pitt source said the actor is fully cooperating with the investigation and "takes the matter very seriously."

Paul Walker's Mom Shares Heartfelt Message

Paul Walker's Mom Shares Heartfelt Message to Fans During Charity Event: "My Son Lives On in All of You"

Vin Diesel is doing his part to make sure his friend and co-star's legacy will never be forgotten.

The Fast & Furious star headed to Facebook Live Saturday evening to show his support for Paul Walker's charity Reach Out Worldwide. Along the way, fans got to hear another inspiring story of the actor who passed away too soon.

"Paul was very, very instrumental in my segue into fatherhood. He was the one that told me to go to the hospital. He's the one that told me to cut the umbilical cord. He told me to cut the umbilical cord," Vin shared while hanging out with Paul's father. "He was the only person that knew, in California, that I was about to have a child."

"He must've been Godsend because he put me on the right path," Vin continued. "He set me up."

And while the pair was able to star together in several of the franchise's movies, it was the original Fast & Furious where the good advice first began

"When we did the first Fast & Furious, I was already 30 years old or something, but he was a father. When we were in the cars in between takes, he would tell me, 'Hey, Vin, it's not a scary thing to become a father' [and] give me all the good advice," he shared. "Next thing you know, I am a dad, which is why I named my daughter Pauline because of the credit that Paul Walker deserves in my personal life."

Almost three years after Paul's death, both his co-stars and family including brother Cody Walker are continuing to support his charity. Reach Out Worldwide is a nonprofit rapid response team committed to providing critical aid to those affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.

"I want to say thank you to all of you for all your support. My son lives on in all of you. It makes his work continue here on Earth and I know he's watching over us as we do this," Paul's mom Cheryl Walker shared on Vin's Facebook while trying to hold back tears. "I'm grateful for all my children but especially Cody working on this to keep ROWW going. It just makes my heart sing. I miss Paul, but he keeps working. Thank you everybody."

"It's a bit of Paul that we still have and we miss him and we love him and we're all here to support him," Cody added in a separate video. "And that's it's baby."

Miss America 2017: 5 Things to Know About Savvy Shields

Miss Arkansas, come get your new—and upgraded—crown.

Out of 52 contestants, Savvy Shields was the lucky beauty pageant contestant to be crowned Miss America Sunday night in New Jersey.

Whether dancing to "They Just Keep Moving the Line" from the NBC musical series Smash or answering a surprise political question regarding presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the blond beauty received the most amount of votes and was crowned the winner.

So what should you know about a woman who loves to jazz dance and has a platform titled "Eat Better, Live Better?"

We did a bit of investigating and found out more than a few fun facts. Here's just a preview: This sorority sister may be a proud Beyhive member.

1. Beyoncé Admirer: Before showing off her talents to the judges including Gabby Douglas, Mark Cuban and Ciara, Savvy admitted that she loves a certain pop superstar. "I want to be a backup dancer for Beyoncé," she confessed. "I feel like that's every dancer's secret dream is to be a backup dancer for Beyoncé especially with her new tour." Safe to say someone likes the sounds of Lemonade.

2. Positive Thinking: Perhaps what got Savvy so far into the beauty pageant world is her mindset. During tonight's show, fans got a glimpse into how she celebrates victories and good fortunes that come her way. "That would be the best day of my life in the future," she said when asked about winning Miss America. "I want to always feel like the best day of my life is going to keep happening. I don't want to think that I've hit it. I want to keep expecting and knowing that better things are going to happen in my life." Perhaps the best is yet to come.

3. Sorority Sister: The 21-year-old is currently a student at the University of Arkansas where she is majoring in art with a minor in business. When not studying for classes, you can likely find her hanging out with her girlfriends at her sorority house. And yes, like any true sisterhood, these ladies have been more than supportive. "The biggest thank you in the world to everyone who came by Kappa tonight. I am so humbled by all of the kindness I have received this past month and am so excited to represent you all at the Miss America pageant," she shared from her Kappa Kappa Gamma house. "So much love and so much virtual hugs."

4. Charity Work: While the hair, makeup and dresses are nice, what could be most important for contestants like Savvy are the charitable aspects to her title. Whether volunteering for Reading Is Fundamental or Children's Miracle Networks Hospitals, this woman has the philanthropic spirit. "Posting again because the CMN Miracle Mile walk was too good to not share more!!" she wrote during a recent event. "So thankful I got to meet this champion today- Luke, you're the man."

Hugh O’Brian dies at 91

Hugh O’Brian dies at 91. Wyatt Earp made him famous. HOBY made him meaningful.

Hugh O’Brian was one of the forefathers of the modern western, maintained a headline-generating love life and was (maybe) one of the youngest Marine drill sergeants in American history. For all that, he is beloved for creating a leadership program.

He died on Monday at the age of 91 from a variety of unspecified health issues.
