Amber Heard's Domestic Violence Allegations Against Johnny Depp

The Disturbing Reaction to Amber Heard's Domestic Violence Allegations Against Johnny Depp: Why It Matters

Johnny Depp's daughter and his former partner of 14 years have vehemently defended his character. A good buddy of his insists the actor is being blackmailed. His attorney contends that Amber Heard's allegations are motivated by money. Hollywood Vampires went on stage in Lisbon with Depp on guitar as usual.

These are the people whom you would assume would be rallying around Depp, the movie star's tight-knit circle closing ranks and painting Heard's allegations that her husband of 15 months was physically and verbally abusive as desperate and patently false.

But why were so many more people, 99 percent of whom have never met the man and will never meet the man, so quick to brand Heard a liar? Not to mention a "gold digger" a "manipulator" and some far nastier words.

Not everyone piled on Amber, and most people, relative to how many there are on the earth, at least, didn't take any kind of public position. But many did, Facebook and Twitter feeds filling up with mostly pro-Johnny commentary. And that says so much about celebrity idol worship, misogyny (mostly the women-hating-women kind in this case), ageism (in reverse), jealousy and that rush to judge the accuser when a famous man is accused of doing something terrible, that it's impossible to pinpoint one sweeping sociological failing.

Of course there's also no exact "right" way to have reacted to the news, versus a "wrong" way, and believing in Depp's innocence until someone proves otherwise isn't "bad." But what has he ever done to deserve so many strangers' undying loyalty? Where was the #FreeAmber hashtag last Friday? Let's delve:

First of all, many people probably wouldn't classify themselves as being against Heard; rather, they'd say they're just pro-Depp. And plenty of comments, such as these on Facebook in response to Live From E!'s conversation on the topic this morning and other stories about the case, would attest to that:

Britney Spears' emotional letter to her sons

Britney Spears' emotional letter to her sons reminds us of her darkest days

Britney Spears' emotional letter to her sons
Britney Spears

Britney Spears has come full circle since her troubled days, and now she's teaching her sons important lessons

Britney Spears just proved it by writing the most adorable open letter to her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The letter is part of a Mother's Day collection written by stars to their children and published in Time magazine. Tori Spelling, Debbie Reynolds and Amber Rose also wrote letters for the spread.

In the letter she co-wrote with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, Spears imparts some wisdom to her boys about seeking comfort in religion during difficult times.

"To Jayden and Preston, You are my masterpieces," she wrote. "From the day I saw the most precious eyes, I believed in miracles to the core. Such a gift God has given me, exploring in your beautiful worlds every day. I pray as a mother I teach you strength and passion to carry through the struggles in the world. Most battles will always be won on your knees. I pray you find your dreams."

She continued, "God always comes to us in tiny whispers. I pray you always find his whisper and understand the true meaning behind following your inner voice as well. Always believe in yourself and know anything is possible. I pray dreaming awakens your soul to limitless possibilities. I hope the most precious mysteries of life stay with you always and you are never ashamed of how bright your light truly is."

The emotional letter calls to mind Spears' very public meltdown eight years ago, and all the work she's put into climbing back to the top of her career since then. Now, Spears has a residency in Las Vegas, and one look at her Instagram is all it takes to know she's a happy, healthy mom who loves her boys.

"I hope you learn praying alone is when you are most connected to God, and know you are never alone," she concluded her letter. "He is with you always. I pray you laugh, love and soar through your journey of life."

Britney Spears' silly selfies

Some people really need to lighten up over Britney Spears' silly selfies

Britney Spears shows off her new haircut
Britney Spears shows off her new haircut

Britney Spears shows off her new haircut in the most hilarious way — but not everyone has a sense of humor

You may think it's a pretty slow news day when the media starts paying attention to a celebrity's new hairdo, but it's not Britney Spears' haircut that we're in love with; rather, we love the way she chose to announce that she had chopped her locks.

Taking to Instagram to post a collage of pictures — which shows Spears dressed down in a simple leggings and T-shirt combo as she snaps silly photos in her bathroom mirror — Spears basically proved that when it comes to altering her appearance, she's just like the rest of us. I mean, raise your hand if you don't take a series of silly snaps and send them to your friends after you've got a new look.

Spears captioned the post with, "A very much needed haircut," and it's clear that (most) fans are loving how her personality shines through these pictures.

"I love your personality!" roberthawn wrote.

"She is so adorable omg," gsxrboy1103 commented. BearcatttI shared similar thoughts, writing, "Seriously love you so much omg you're the cutest."

"Britt I have always thought and still do your a very pretty lady and beautiful," axsomlove gushed.

But there are some people who really need to get a sense of humor, because instead of seeing Spears' pictures in the way they were intended, critics have blasted her for looking "old" and acting like a teenager. Um, what?

"I'm glad she is doing so well and living healthy, but these pics are just beneath her. She's better and more mature than doing teenage pics," spattyk wrote.

Georgephoenixg was even more harsh with his comments, writing, "Wow, you look so lonely and old."

Niyangxianshen took issue only with the first image, simply writing, "The first one is annoying ....."

Johnny Depp Faces Boycott Threat in Sweden

Johnny Depp Faces Boycott Threat in Sweden as Concert Venue Gears Up for Sold-Out Show

Johnny Depp is set to take the stage with his band the Hollywood Vampires in Sweden on Monday, despite a social media campaign calling for a boycott of the show over the domestic abuse allegations wife Amber Heard made against the actor in court filings.
Depp arrived at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm just after 9 a.m. local time on Monday, according to a source. The Hollywood Vampires, which also features Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, will take the stage at Gröna Lund, an amusement park, Monday evening.

The venue has faced criticism for letting Depp play amid domestic violence allegations.

A spokesperson for Gröna Lund amusement park, Annika Troselius, tells PEOPLE: "We are opposed to any sort of violence, of course. But it's also equally important that we cannot judge someone beforehand. Everyone, including Johnny Depp, should be allowed to have the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty."

Regardless, a source tells PEOPLE that fans have been lined up for the show since early this morning, and that the amusement park is expecting an almost sold-out performance. Depp followed up a show in Lisbon, Portugal, on Friday with a Sunday tour appearance in Germany – all while he and Heard's divorce proceedings escalated. "Johnny seemed okay when he arrived at the hotel," another insider tells PEOPLE of the actor's appearance in Sweden. "He was quiet and trying not to attract any attention."
The source says that Depp was taken straight to a suite, where he ordered room service, while Cooper dined at the hotel's restaurant. Sweden's Aftonbladet reported that the star signed autographs for fans outside of the hotel. "They all seem excited about playing their show tonight," explains the source. Despite speculation that fans might boycott the event, fans packed out the concert venue and doors even had to be closed early.
"The concert was full, with 17,000 fans," Maria Breivik, who attended the Hollywood Vampires concert at Gröna Lund, Stockholm tonight, told PEOPLE. "It was a beautiful evening and the crowd was very excited. There were lots of Johnny fans that cheered and chanted his name." Breivik added that although Depp is going through things in his life, he still managed to put on a great performance for the fans. "It was really a fantastic show. Even with all the personal drama, Johnny delivered an amazing concert. There was nothing but an amazing, positive vibe when fans left the venue," she said.
In court documents filed last week, Heard claims Depp hit her with a cell phone and pulled her hair on May 21. An LAPD spokesperson told PEOPLE, however, that after responding to the 911 call, officers found "no evidence of any crime." Heard was granted a temporary restraining order against the actor a few days later, on Friday. Laura Wasser, Depp's divorce attorney, responded in court documents, claiming that the actress is "attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse." Heard also alleges that Depp abused her throughout their four-year relationship and 15-month marriage, and has a problem with substance abuse.
"He is often paranoid and his temper is extremely scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life-threatening to me," Heard charges in her declaration. Of Depp's Friday performance in Germany, a concertgoer told PEOPLE that "along with being a good performer, Johnny is really professional." Another attendee says that Depp "didn't speak to the crowd at any point – or mention anything about the latest news about Amber." "He didn't really interact much with the crowd at all."

After His Death, Prince Broke

After His Death, Prince Broke Another Impressive Chart Record That Didn't Get Much Attention

Even though he is no longer with us, Prince is still making waves and breaking records on the charts. When the rockstar passed away last month, fans rushed to buy his music wherever they could, and in doing so, they collectively helped the adored musician find new spots in the history books to occupy.

Because of the immediate and unprecedented popularity that his back catalog enjoyed after his untimely death, Prince now holds the record for controlling the most positions on the Billboard 200 in a single week. Once a full charting frame had gone by after his passing, the legendary musician’s albums took up a history-making nineteen positions on the all-encompassing albums ranking. The week dated May 14th, 2016 is now very special in that Prince was in charge of almost ten percent of all available slots, something that had never been done prior to this month. Before Prince, the Beatles had the distinction of being the musicians with the most albums simultaneously charting on the Billboard 200, thanks to one week back in 2014 when the Fab Four managed to place thirteen titles at the same time.

Interestingly, while his music was selling better than it had in years because of the shock of his unexpected death, Prince wasn’t at number one in the week where his music seemed to be everywhere on the albums chart. His compilation The Very Best Of Prince had ruled the week prior, but after a full seven days had gone by, he was bested by another superstar. Beyoncé’s new album Lemonade stormed in and took the top spot from the Prince himself after being released just a few days following his death.

He might not have been at number one, but in the week he sent nineteen titles onto the Billboard 200, Prince did have a very strong presence in the top ten. The great Purple One owned half of the highest region on the chart that week, which was also a first for the decades-old tally. He and Bey also broke another record together, as both of them sent eight different songs into the top 40 on the Hot 100 simultaneously.

It is nice to see that Prince’s legacy is powerful enough to keep him charting in death just as well (if not better) than he did in life.

OUTLANDER RECAP

OUTLANDER RECAP: BINGEING NEVER FELT SO BAD

WITH THIS WEEK’S EPISODE, “The Fox’s Lair,” Outlander has decided to be House of Cards on the Highlands. There is political intrigue, and then more political intrigue, wrapped in a lot of brogue, damp weather, and dim light.

Are you ready? (I’m not sure I am.) Here goes.

This show has always been kind of wonky about time, but apparently enough of it has passed that Jamie’s sister, Jenny, has yet another kid. There’s been a bairn-raising! We’re back in the Scottish Highlands, and I guess, what, a year or so has passed? After weeks of harpsichord and misery, the lush greenery of Scotland should be soothing—but sadly (if not surprisingly) the tranquility doesn’t last very long.

Toward the beginning of the episode, Claire tells Jamie, “They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” While this is the exact same line that countless movies, shows, and games have already used, it’s also the perfect description of watching this show. Everything is either terrible or complicated all the time. The good news, the only good news, is that Jamie and his thighs are back in his kilt.

The gang is hoping that life at Lallybroch will somehow ease the memories of all that transpired in France—but we know better. It might be a plague, or a trebuchet launching severed horse heads at the manor, or an 18th-century version of the Hunger Games, but something intensely dramatic is going to temper the bucolic nature of life at Lallybroch. And lo! Just as the Frasers are settling in to farm and family life, the mail arrives. The Frasers get a letter in which Charles Stuart states his rightful claim to the divine throne and forges Jamie’s signature as one of his supporters. Now, whether he likes it or not, Jamie has to join the Jacobite rebellion. In other words, literally everything they tried in France was an abject failure. There’s just no stopping a would-be idiot king.

It’s time for another road trip on horseback. Murtagh and Fergus, who is now part of the family, head off to meet up with Stuart. Jamie needs to rally the troops, starting with Lord Simon Fraser Lovat at Beaufort Castle, and Claire goes along for the—wait, sorry, who the hell is Lord Lovat? Turns out Jamie’s father was a bastard, the progeny of Lord Lovat and his kitchen maid. The old man is a bastard of the modern kind—philanderer, rapist, scoundrel, possessor of multiple wives. This one time, he tried to have Jamie and Jenny’s mother kidnapped to keep her and their father from marrying. Drama, drama, drama.

At Beautfort Castle, Jamie and Claire run into Colum Mackenzie, though the reunion isn’t exactly joyful—and it’s interrupted by Lovat himself, loud and brash and vulgar. The show tries to position him as an anti-hero, but it’s all very forced and the least plausible part of this episode. He quickly dismisses Claire (“enough breath wasted on women”) so the men can talk politics, and Claire rolls her eyes because old men be trippin’.

While Claire is roaming about the castle, she runs into Laoghaire Mackenzie, the young woman who jealously set Claire up for the witch trial. Laoghaire wants forgiveness; Claire isn’t having it. After some sharp words, she leaves the young woman in tears. I’ll tell you what—Claire is always at the ready to Vaseline her cheeks and take out her earrings to fight for Jamie.

At dinner that night, Jamie continues the politicking, trying to bring folks over to the Jacobite cause with fiery words about overcoming British oppression. Lovat’s son, Simon Jr., is another weakling in the manner of Charles Stuart, with indeterminate facial features and watery eyes. We’ll later learn he loves poetry. (He was born too soon, is all I am saying.) Simon tries to join in the manly war talk but is soon humiliated by his father, and the lad is left simpering into his wine. It’s awkward.

Honestly, the politicking in this episode is too much to keep up with, so here are the CliffNotes. Colum wants to stay out of the rebellion and wants Lovat to sign a neutrality agreement with the Mackenzies, hoping that not taking sides will preserve their way of life and trusting that the British will prevail. Jamie wants Lord Lovat to join the rebellion so they might overthrow the crown. Lord Lovat wants Lallybroch because he’s a greedy bastard who doesn’t really hold allegiances to anyone but himself. I want a nap.

Claire, who cannot ever stop fomenting intrigue, plots to have Laoghaire seduce Simon so Simon will develop a backbone and stand up to his father by taking Jamie’s side. How else can a man find his manhood than through a bit of seduction of a beguiling young virgin? “A woman has more to offer a man than her body,” Claire tells Laoghaire, directly contradicting herself. Girl, what?! Once, we were feminist.

In the end, only some of the endless political maneuvering bears fruit. Lovat signs the neutrality agreement, but Simon also stands up to his father—like, literally. In the wake of this bravado, Lord Lovat allows his son to lead their clan’s men into battle. Lovat gets to play both sides and, he hopes, keep his head. (Like I said, he’s a bastard.)

Despite their half-assed maneuvering at Beaufort Castle, Jamie and Claire are still optimistic, because they aren’t going to Charles Stuart empty-handed: They have a hundred men, and a simpering poetry lover with a brand-new backbone! Maybe they can change the future after all, Claire tells us in signature voiceover. Or not.

Look, I understand a television show needs a robust plot. The viewers must be kept engaged. But it’s time for all of us to admit that Outlander suffers from an excess of it. There is something significant (well, “significant”) happening in literally every scene—narrative decadence, if you will, without any palate cleanser, ever.

Not like we have much of a choice, though. The only thing to do moving forward is to keep on swallowing this surfeit of story. Maybe, at the end, it will all have been worthwhile.

Or we’ll throw up everywhere.

Amber Heard had no sign of injuries

Amber Heard had no sign of injuries: cops

Police officials in Los Angeles have spoken out about Amber Heard's assault allegations, insisting there was no sign of any crime when officers were called to the couple's home on Saturday night.

The actress and her lawyer showed up at court on Friday to request a protective order against her husband of 15 months, Johnny Depp.

Heard was sporting a bruised face and told a judge it was an injury from a Saturday night fight with Depp.

Police were called to the couple's home following the altercation, during which Johnny allegedly threw an iPhone at his wife.

When they arrived Depp had left and his now-estranged wife filed a report, but now LAPD officials are opening up about the alleged attack, insisting there was no proof that a crime actually happened.

Sgt. Marlon Marrache said, "On May 21, 2016, officers responded to a domestic incident radio call... The person reporting the crime (Heard) did not insist on a report and no report was warranted. There was no evidence of any crime. A crime did not occur so the officers left the scene and left a business card."

Police sources have also insisted there was no evidence of any injuries when they arrived at the scene of the alleged fight. Had there been the cops would have opened an investigation, regardless of whether or not Amber wanted to press charges.

Depp's lawyer, Laura Wasser, is dismissing Heard's claims, stating, "Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse."

Johnny Depp & Amber Heard's Divorce & Restraining Order Drama: Criminal Lawyer Weighs in

Johnny Depp & Amber Heard's Divorce & Restraining Order Drama: Criminal Lawyer Weighs in.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard,spliting
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's split is getting uglier and uglier.

The 30-year-old actress filed for divorce Thursday after 15 months of marriage. A source told E! News the pair did not have a prenuptial agreement. On Friday, she obtained a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Depp, 52.

While appearing in court, Heard sported what appeared to be a bruise on her cheekbone. She had presented a photograph that shows her with a larger one. No police reports have been filed and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.

Heard says in her filing that throughout their entire relationship, she "endured excessive emotional verbal and physical abuse from Johnny" and states several incidents in which Depp allegedly became violent with her.

Depp has not responded to her allegations. His attorney filed a response to the order filing, saying the actor wasn't even in the country to begin with and was willing to agree to "mutual stay-away and personal conduct orders," therefore there was no reason to bar him from his home.

"Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse," the attorney stated.

Heard's temporary order expires in two weeks and may be extended after a hearing that has been scheduled for mid-June.

Will Depp face charges?

That remains to be seen. Criminal attorney Troy Slaten, who is not involved in their cases, told E! News exclusively any charges of domestic battery would be considered a misdemeanor as long as the injuries aren't severe and he does not have past similar offenses. If convicted of such a misdemeanor, an offender would face a maximum sentence of probation, counseling and fines. Prosecutors have up to a year to file any charges.

The judge who granted the restraining order denied a request from Heard that Depp attend anger management counseling until the hearing.

Slaten added that it's not very hard to obtain a temporary restraining order in California, adding, "All you have to do is allege that somebody hurt you or that there is a legitimate fear that someone is about to hurt you."

"It's important to note that only one side has gone in here—the judge has only heard part of the story and in a case like this, the judge is going to rule in her favor in an abundance of caution," he said.

At their hearing, Depp can opt to testify or grant Heard a longer-lasting restraining order, which would mean he would not be able to own a firearm in California.

Does Depp have to attend the hearing? "He does not have to," Slaten said, adding that "The witnesses don't have to be there—they can appear by declaration but it's not strong."

The actor is set to tour with the Hollywood Vampires, made up of him, shock rocker Alice Cooper and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, on and off through the end of July but the group is not booked to perform on the day of the hearing.

Heard can also sue Depp for assault and battery in a civil case: "When we are about a civil case, we are talking about money when we are talking about a criminal case, we're talking about somebody potentially going to jail, somebody being prosecuted by the government," Slaten told E! News, adding that a civil case "would be separate from the divorce proceedings."

"You can sue somebody for intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress," he added. "You can sue somebody for interference with prospective economic advance—you are trying to mess with somebody's livelihood, you're trying to mess with somebody's business or somebody's ability for earning a living. Anyone can sue anyone for anything. Whether you are going to be successful is another thing but when you file suit against someone you are going to throw in everything plus the kitchen sink to see what sticks."

Depp could also sue Heard: "If he alleges none of this stuff actually happened, he could sue her," Slaten said. "For the same thing—interference with prospective economic advantage, for defamation of character."

The restraining order will not affect the divorce, temporary or not: "In California, we have no fault divorces," Slaten told E! News. "Which means it doesn't matter if someone cheats, or if someone is alleged to be violent. In California, if you want a divorce, you get a divorce. You don't have to prove that one side was bad or that somebody did something wrong. You can just say you don't like the way someone smells anymore and you get a divorce, and then it's 50/50."

How will their assets be split? "If he didn't have a prenup, than the law says that anything you had before the marriage is yours and everything acquired after the marriage is 50/50," Slaten said. "So any future royalties for movies that they made while they were married would be 50/50, but anything after the date the divorce is filed—not the date that it is finalized, but the date she filed for divorce—that moment after is separate property."

He said if Heard is granted spousal support, it is "going to be rather slim because they were only married for 15 months."

"Usually they give one and a half to two times the amount of the time they were married," Slaten said. "She would be looking at a maximum of 30 months for spousal support."

Under the terms of the existing order, Depp must stay at least 100 yards away from Heard and refrain from contacting her until a hearing next month. She will also be allowed to live in their Los Angeles condo, which he purchased several years ago, and he must keep away from the property until that date. Depp also owns another home in the city. He has obtained multiple homes over the years, as well as a private Caribbean island, where he and Heard wed in 2015.

Heard also requested Depp stay away from her Yorkshire terrier Pistol, which the judge denied, saying there was "insufficient showing of need" to protect the dog. Pistol and Depp's dog Boo were the subjects of an international incident that almost landed Heard in jail in Australia last year.

Heard's lawyer had also requested that Depp allow the actress exclusive use of a Range Rover she is driving and that he continue to make payments on it, that he also continue to pay the mortgage and utilities of their Los Angeles home and also pay her "reasonable and necessary attorney's fees" and other legal costs, totaling $125,000. In her divorce filing, Heard asked for $50,000 a month in spousal support based on their "marital lifestyle." In response papers, Depp requested that it be denied.

Depp's attorney said Heard is "attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse," that the two and the court have no "financial information upon which to grant such relief" and that "as a successful actress with significant income of her own, there is no question Amber can support herself" until both actors "have had a reasonable amount of time to assess their finances" with their attorneys and later possibly negotiate a "mutually agreeable resolution."

Heard sought the order against the actor because she claimed he has assaulted her in the past, according to a court official.

Amber Heard was granted a restraining order against her husband, Johnny Depp, on Friday, a Los Angeles County Superior Court official told The Hollywood Reporter.

Heard sought the order against the actor because she claimed he has assaulted her in the past, according to the court official. It is unclear exactly what the restraining order specifies, but a judge granted the order "partially," or portions of it, the official said.
The order arrives as celebrity gossip site TMZ posted a picture of an injured Heard allegedly taken last Saturday. The news comes on the heels of Heard seeking a divorce from Depp earlier in the week after 15 months of marriage.

A Los Angeles police spokesman said he was unaware of any domestic violence investigation against Depp. Attorneys for both Depp and Heard declined to comment. Publicists for the actors did not respond to a request for comment.

Depp's latest film, Disney's Alice Through the Looking Glass, opened in theaters on Friday, beginning the traditionally lucrative Memorial Day holiday weekend at the box office.
Disney declined to comment.

Will Justin Bieber have to say sorry?

Casey Dienel, an indie artist who goes by the stage name White Hinterland, has sued Biebs for allegedly stealing a vocal rift from her song "Ring the Bell" and using it in his hit song "Sorry", according to NBC 24. Dienel claims Bieber and producer Skrillex used a "virtually identical" riff without permission.

In addition to Bieber and Skrillex, the lawsuit, which was filed in Nashville, also names Universal Music Group as a defendant. E! News has reached out for comment. Dienel also claims the hit track uses synthesizers, samples, synth bass, drums and percussion that sound similar to those used in "Ring the Bell".

The indie songstress also says she reached out to the "Love Yourself" crooner to discuss a potential resolution but was "ignored". Dienel is seeking unspecified damages, including profits from "Sorry," which has been viewed more than 1.4 million times on YouTube.

Amber Heard Files Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp

Amber Heard Files Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp.

Amber Heard has gone to court and filed a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny Depp, E! News confirms.

Heard's restraining order request comes less than a week after the actress filed for divorce from the star. She cited irreconcilable differences in the documents. In court, Heard presented a photograph, obtained by E! News, as evidence, which shows what appears to be a bruise on her right eye.

E! News has reached out to their reps for comment.

As for why Heard filed while Depp was out of town promoting Alice Through the Looking Glass, a source tells E! News, "This is not about right now. It's an ongoing thing that she needs protection from."

"She did what she had to do to protect herself," the source adds. "It wasn't an easy decision, but this is the truth. It was very hard for her."

Warning: The below photo contains graphic imagery that may be disturbing to readers.

Depp and Heard were married for 15 months before calling it quits. The Pirates of the Caribbean star broke his silence about the split Thursday via a statement from his rep.

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life," the rep told E! News. "Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

A source previously told us that the former couple does not have a prenuptial agreement in place. According to court documents, Heard is asking for spousal support, but Depp filed response paperwork that asked the judge deny that request. The two met on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary and were wed in a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home before celebrating in front of family and friends in the Bahamas.

HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that as a result, she’s no longer coming to his defense when people accuse her 32-year-old former partner of leering on her little sisters.

“She’s noticed how much his new girlfriend looks like Kendall, how much all these girls he hooks up with seem to look like her younger sisters, it’s weird to her,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Scott definitely seems to have a type, preferring tall, brunette model-types that just so happen to be dead ringers for Kenny. Christina in particular looks like she could be the reality star’s identical twin!

“She always used to defend Scott when people accused him of perving on her sisters, but she doesn’t defend him anymore, at this point she doesn’t know what to think,” our source adds. Scott has always had a close relationship with Kendall, but now that she’s grown into such a beautiful young woman, he seems to be giving her a different kind of attention.
After all, who can forget their April Fools’ Day prank where Kourtney pretended to catch Scott and Kendall in bed together, giving a nod to the rumors that the pair has hooked up. But her mind isn’t even going there that could ever have happened.
“Kourtney doesn’t believe Scott has slept with any of her sisters, that’s just not even a possibility in her mind. She doesn’t think he would sink that low, and more than that she trusts her sister,” our source adds. Yeah, Scott does some pretty questionable things, but getting with one of her sisters would be so crazy unforgivable.

HollywoodLifers, why do you think that Scott always dates girls that look the same? Is it his type or does he have a secret crush on Kendall?

Amber Heard 'Did What She Had to Do to Take Care of Herself' Source Says of Her Divorce Filing

Amber Heard 'Did What She Had to Do to Take Care of Herself' Source Says of Her Divorce Filing.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had only been married for 15 months when she filed for divorce on Monday, but a source close to the actress says she felt it was a necessary step after months of strife.

"Amber did what she had to do to take care of herself," the Heard source tells PEOPLE

Tension between the couple started even before they wed, with a source telling PEOPLE Heard expressed hesitation about settling down with the actor 22 years her senior at their engagement party in March 2014, two months after their engagement.
"Before Amber met Johnny she was just a regular super cool hipster chick living with roommates who dated girls," a source tells PEOPLE. "At their engagement party she kind of got cold feet ... she was just like what is this scene and what am I doing here? She kind of couldn't believe it was her life now."
In December 2014, a source told PEOPLE there "is turmoil in the relationship" and wasn't sure if and when they would wed.

The couple eventually tied the knot in February of last year. Depp, 52, was not present when she rang in her 30th birthday this past April in Palm Springs.

Heard's filing came just three days after the death of Depp's beloved mother, Betty Sue Palmer, at 83.

Although the couple never spoke publicly about any discord, Heard acknowledged rumors about the state of their union while speaking with Marie Claire last November.

"I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives," she said. "But it is strange and hard."

'The Voice' winner

'The Voice' winner: Why season 10 champ may be the first fans actually remember.

"Curly Sue" star Alisan Porter, right, performs with Christina Aguilera on "The Voice."

Can you name three past winners of "The Voice?" (Without cheating with Google or Wikipedia?)

Even the most die-hard fans of the NBC singing competition may have trouble with the answer, and it's not surprising after 10 seasons. Unlike the first few seasons of "American Idol," the show has always focused on the star power of the judges, mentors and guest performers.

Want proof? Name five past judges on "The Voice."

Even someone who doesn't watch the series could likely name Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, country star Blake Shelton, singer Christina Aguilera and hitmaker Pharrell Williams. Other celebrities who have turned their chairs around include CeeLo Green, Shakira, Usher, Gwen Stefani and, next season, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.

Judges were similarly popular on "Idol," but many former contestants have gone on to find careers in music, movies, theater and more. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson and others have continued to be successful long after Ryan Seacrest dimmed the lights for them.

But the season 10 winner of "The Voice" could change that pattern for an unusual reason: Many people already knew her.
Alisan Porter made history on the show Tuesday night when she was crowned -- it was the first time a Team Xtina member took home the final prize. But it was also the first time a contestant might not need "former 'The Voice' contestant" in front of their name every time they're mentioned.

That's because Porter appeared in Steve Martin's 1989 movie "Parenthood" and, more memorably, starred as the title character in 1991's "Curly Sue," with Jim Belushi. She also had roles on stage in "Footloose," "A Chorus Line" and the smash "Ten Commandments: The Musical," opposite Val Kilmer and Adam Lambert.
Porter, 34, was the favorite from the beginning of the season (sorry Ryan Quinn and Abby Celso) because viewers recognized her. They were also impressed by her vocal talents, but when fan voting is involved, reality shows always become popularity contests -- a flaw Sanjaya nearly exposed in "Idol" a decade ago -- and other performers may never get a chance if producers focus on someone more recognizable.

Still not convinced that "The Voice" winners don't get enough attention after they appear on the show? If you watched Tuesday's star-studded finale, you know the highlights weren't any of the contestant's performances -- cameos by Sia, Little Big Town, Zayn Malik and a duet by Aguilera with Ariana Grande (instead of a planned-then-canceled Whitney Houston hologram) were the most memorable parts.

More proof: Upstate New York's Sawyer Fredericks won "The Voice" season 8 last year and few noticed that he released his debut studio album this month. "A Good Storm" debuted at No. 48 on the Billboard charts, behind months-old albums by Adele, Kanye West, Mike Posner, Taylor Swift, Drake, twenty one pilots, Rhett Miller, Panic! At the Disco and three Prince releases.

Fredericks is only 17, though, and still has plenty of talent to make a career for himself long after "The Voice" fans fade like "Idol."

But how will other past contestants fare? Here are all 10 past "The Voice" winners, along with who their coach was:

  • Season 1 winner: Javier Colon (Team Adam Levine)
  • Season 2 winner: Jermaine Paul (Team Blake Shelton)
  • Season 3 winner: Cassadee Pope (Team Blake)
  • Season 4 winner: Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake)
  • Season 5 winner: Tessanne Chin (Team Adam)
  • Season 6 winner: Josh Kaufman (Team Usher)
  • Season 7 winner: Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake)
  • Season 8 winner: Sawyer Fredericks (Team Pharrell Williams)
  • Season 9 winner: Jordan Smith (Team Adam)
  • Season 10 winner: Alisan Porter (Team Christina Aguilera)

Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian Dempsey are not divorcing after all.

She had in January 2015 filed divorce papers after 15 years of marriage and three children. But the two have since been spotted together several times since then and last week, the judge sent Jillian a notice that states that she must file additional documents to complete the proceedings for their marital separation or the case will be thrown out.

When asked recently if he and Jillian had reconciled, Patrick told the U.K. newspaper The Evening Standard's ES magazine, "Yeah, I think so."

The former Grey's Anatomy star was pictured still wearing his wedding ring about a month after his wife filed for divorce. In November, they were seen holding hands in Paris. Patrick had filmed Bridget Jones's Baby in nearby London at the time.

This past January, he and Jillian attended the inaugural Marie Claire Image Maker Awards in Los Angeles together and a month later, the two were photographed packing on the PDA on a yacht in St. Barts, where they vacationed with their 14-year-old daughter Tallula and 9-year-old twins Sullivan and Darby.

This past weekend, Patrick and Jillian were seen making out at their sons' soccer game in Los Angeles.

"You have to work at everything," Dempsey told ES. "And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed."

JoJo Fletcher Admits She Knew About

JoJo Fletcher Admits She Knew About 'Bachelorette' Frontrunner Jordan Rodgers Before the Show Started.

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette romance check.
    The Bachelor and The Bachelorette

It turns out JoJo Fletcher knew who contestant Jordan Rodgers was before officially meeting him on Monday night's premiere of The Bachelorette.

ET talked to the season 12 star on Tuesday, when JoJo admitted she was aware that the 27-year-old former NFL player was one of her suitors before the actual competition -- and that he was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' younger brother.

"A week before this whole thing started I think his name got leaked, and it was kind of all over the Internet, so, you know, it's like 'Jordan Rodgers, brother of Aaron' -- so that's what I knew going into it," she tells ET's Nancy O'Dell exclusively.

However, she insists that the knowledge didn't influence her thoughts about him in any way.

"Before I met him ... I knew just that tidbit about him, but nothing else, and I don't think it made a difference either way," she says. "I don't follow football closely, so it's not like it made a huge difference, but I definitely knew that about him going into it."
She firmly denies reports that she and Jordan already knew each other prior to the show.

"There's zero truth to that," she stresses. "The only thing that I knew about him was that he was potentially going to be part of the cast. So, I don't know where people are coming up with these things. I've never spoken to him, never met him. That first night was the first night I've ever seen him in my life. [We had] no conversation, even on the Internet."

Still, JoJo -- who says she has never met Aaron or his girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn -- was obviously taken by Jordan right off the bat, sharing a steamy kiss and giving him the "first impression" rose during the premiere episode. The reality star admits that the two had an "immediate connection."

"Sometimes when you're with somebody, you automatically have that sense of comfort and peace ... the conversation flowed, he's obviously cute," she gushes about Jordan. "It was an easy conversation on a very stressful night."

As for her hilarious compliments on Jordan's butt following their kiss, she claims she didn't actually mean to get that up close and personal!

"I think on that kiss my hand might've accidentally slipped, and [his butt] was very firm, then I thought maybe I need to start to doing squats if I'm going to keep up with this," she jokes. "It's just a good, little butt! Little tush!

Most importantly, JoJo, 25, says she has no regrets about her experience this season.

"Even if it was probably really embarrassing and cringeworthy for me to watch back, I was really happy with how I handled everything -- the good and the bad," she reflects. "I'm happy with how my experience was, and if I had to do it again I would, because there's nothing that I regret about how it went down."
Though there's already lots of controversy when it comes to Jordan's romantic past. On Monday, Nashville-based trainer Brittany Farrar -- who claims to be Jordan's ex -- threw some serious shade at him on Instagram, accusing him of cheating and wanting fame.

"Riding the bench doesn't get in the way of a relationship, but cheating does. #yourpitchisntperfect @jrodgers11 #alwayswantedtobefamous #dreamscometrue #tuneinnextweekformoreBS," Brittany posted, also knocking Jordan's Pitch Perfect 2 cameo.
